At SERVE Noblesville, we believe that the strongest communities are built on relationships, trust, and the resources already present within our neighborhoods. So when it comes to our work, we approach our work by focusing on what’s strong rather than what’s wrong. We look to pool the community's assets that our neighbors, businesses, organizations, and City are willing to share and provide and then look to connect them as efficiently as possible to provide a foundation for lasting, positive change. This is called Asset-Based Community Development or ABCD.
Building on What We Already Have
In the past, communities thrived when neighbors helped neighbors, relying on their collective skills and support. Over time, however, as communities began to break up because jobs moved away from their home communities many turned to professionals for solutions, often overlooking the incredible resources right next door. SERVE Noblesville wants to restore the power of local connections while embracing the valuable contributions of organizations, businesses, and city leaders.
Through events, programs, and neighborhood initiatives, we collaborate with Noblesville residents in identifying and utilizing their unique skills, knowledge, and resources. By fostering collaboration, self-sufficiency, and local engagement, we help create sustainable, long-term change in our city.
